Family Diary 2004

11/04 Big news this month, I get made redundant. Is there no end to the stress that can be invoked within a year?

10/04 Blake is back in to Rugby with a bang, touchline Dad's in support once more. The hectic schedule continues with Ana's work and learning, and work seems to have picked up. Half term came and went, I'm sure we did lots, just can't remember what!

09/04 Ana takes up Sessional Lectureship. Lack of time in August has moved to lacck of time in September, as she's up to her eyeballs not only in course preparation, but doing her Cert.Ed. as well.

08/04 Swiss freinds over for a week, Holiday in Portugal for 2 weeks, where did August go?

07/04 Ana formally offered a teaching post at the local college to teach AVCE level Market Research, 'A' level standard to us old'uns! Similarly offered place doing her Cert.Ed, which we hope will prove very usefuk and transferable in the future.

06/04 Blake's birthday outing, took some freinds to a pizza hut and then on to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkerban. Generally well behaved for 8/9 year olds. Both kids have taken up sailing, I found a local club they could do a tryout, and now we've joined and it's part of the itinerary. The various clubs, teacher meetings, summer fetes, and school productions are rather taking it out of us. I get to stay in Loughborough for this month's sales conference, I do go to the best locations!

05/04 Ana moves closer to becoming a lecturer. Two offers of work, needed to supplement her evening course to get the teaching qualification that all teachers are now required to have, in her case the PGCE. The local college are very keen to get someone of her calibre and experience on board, and are moving schedules around to fit in with her requirements.

Unbroke car04/04 Organised a new 'old' motor, and got the insurance payout on the Rover 216, we're now the proud owners of a Honda Civic, which is, due to it's parentage, very similar to the Rover. The engine etc. are all pretty much identical! Off to Cardiff and Bolton this month!Blake had his rugby tour, much rain (horizontal type) and fun was had nonetheless.

Brocken Car03/04 Ana had an accident in the motor. I know she wanted a new one but as a means this was a little excessive. Two fire tenders, closed road, ice, and a tree were the constituent parts of the story. She suffered a broken collar bone with sundry bits of tree and glass embedded in her left hand side.
I got a trip to Barcelona with work, and Daventry - another glamorous location - drank too much, worked too long etc.

02/04 Nothing of note to report, a trip to Scotland for me, and little else that I can recall.

01/04 In to new job with a bang, meetings all over the place, found myself in Newcastle, Rotherham, Sheffield; all the best places to see.
